One of the best songwriter and one of the greatest artists of all times, Shakira was born Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll in Barranquilla, Colombia to a Lebanese father and Colombian mother. Shakira together with Gerard Pique, who is a professional soccer player from Spain, began dating in 2010 and live in Barcelona, Spain together. The couple share a son named Milan Pique Mebarak, who was born in January of 2013. Shakira recently made some controversial remarks about her relationship with the Spaniard. The Latin beauty called him “territorial” and noted that because of him, she’s no longer allowed to shoot music videos with other men.
