Shania Twain

Shania Twain, born Eilleen Regina Edwards, is a famous Canadian country pop singer made famous by her album, ‘The Woman in me’. She is one of the top best selling singers in Canada, second only to Celine Dion. Her album ‘Come on Over’ is the best selling country album of all time. The Grammy award winning singer is also a world class songwriter who has won multiple BMI songwriter awards. 


‘The Queen of Country Pop’ as she is known to her fans, loved music from an early age. She was writing and performing songs by the time she was ten and appeared on a television show as a teenager. She had a difficult childhood and found the much-needed solace in music. Music was not just a means of succor; it was also a way of earning money to contribute to her impoverished family. Her musical talent made her famous in her town and she was often invited to play at clubs and radio stations. She struggled for years to establish herself before signing a contract with Mercury and found big success with her second album, ‘The Woman in Me’. The album went Multi-Platinum and announced the arrival of a new star to the world of country music. 


She has won five Grammy Awards, including Best Country Album 1996 for ‘The Woman in me’ and Best Country Song 2000 for ‘Come on Over’. She was presented the American Music Awards for Favorite New Country Artist in 1996, and went on to win four more AMA’s over her career. She is the proud recipient of 39 BMI Songwriter Awards.


She files around the world in chartered private jets. She is a vegetarian & passionately supports animal rights organization like PETA. She raises funds for children’s causes & is actively involved with philanthropic organizations like United Service Organization & Red Cross. Kid Can she started this charity with an aim to help out children suffering from personal issues in their homes. Underprivileged children are helped by being provided lessons their families can’t afford. The organization always tries to raise the self-esteem of such kids through a combination of coaching and counseling.


Twain married Robert Lange, a music producer she often worked with, in 1993. They have a son. She divorced her husband in 2010 after finding out that he had an affair with her best friend, On January 1, 2011, she married Frederic Thiebaud, an executive at Nestle wearing beautiful flowing gown with a dark band around the waist. She bought the gown from a small boutique in Lausanne, Switzerland and accessorized it with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Thiebaud wore a white suit with a black shirt underneath. The intimate wedding consisted of only few friends and family members.



During a Walk of Fame recognition Shania Twain flaunted her Yves Saint Laurent Tribute platform sandals, with includes features like intricate detailing woven at the toe along with a high quality tonal leather trim. The sandals has an adjustable ankle strap with gold color side fastening buckles and self-covered heels measured at 5 ½ inches. 


Favored by the most high-heeled fashionistas, Shania was snapped carrying the Goyard 'St. Louis' Tote bag on her way to the airport. It is made of coated canvas with genuine leather handles which are sturdy enough to hold books and laptops. The accessory is available in colors ranging from royal blue to black. 


The artist Shania Twain is the proud owner of this gown designed by renowned Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad, who is an epitome of Middle Eastern glamour, fashion and design. Shania also worn this full length sleeveless dress featuring a heavily embellished oriental styled lacy bustier at the 2011 Toronto Juno Awards.


Presently Shania Twain has spent the past two years taking center stage inside The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for her celebrated Las Vegas residency. And although the country star might sing about "men’s shirts and short skirts, ultra-glamorous ensembles are more her style M.O. As she says goodbye to Sin City to embark on her Rock This Country tour this summer.
